# Sloose > Sloose imports Excel and CSV spreadsheets into Zoho CRM. One sheet can create accounts, contacts and deals, linked to each other and matched against the records the CRM already holds, and every import is checked, and can be dry-run, before anything is written. Zoho CRM today; more CRMs on the way. Made by Dinode Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia. Sloose is for the people who move data into Zoho CRM: administrators, consultants who import for several clients, and teams with a monthly file. It is a web app at https://app.sloose.com, with an optional tab inside Zoho CRM. An AI suggests how columns map and writes formulas for what a column needs (a split, a join, a change of case); a person reads it and decides, and nothing is written to the CRM until someone runs the import. There is no undo, which is why the checks and the dry run come first. ## How an import works An import has five parts: Target (which CRM connection and which modules), Source (the file), Map fields (columns to fields, with the AI's suggestions, formulas and value maps), Validate (every file and rule checked before anything is written) and Run. A dry run goes through every row and rule, searches the CRM for existing records as the real run would, and writes nothing; it does not count as a run. A real run has a results file, downloaded from the page when the run ends and from the history afterwards (a dry run's is there only while its panel is on screen, and for a very large file, one of half a million rows feeding six modules for example, the history's copy is more than the server will make, so only the page's download exists): each row of the file in order, what happened to it, the ID of the record written or found in each module, and the CRM's reason where a record was refused. Spreadsheets are read as .xlsx (one source per worksheet) or delimited text such as CSV; .xls and .ods files are refused with a note to re-save them. Sloose sends a file's new records, and its updates to the records it matches, to Zoho ten to a call, which costs one Zoho API credit per call. A column of free text can be added to each record the import makes or updates as a note, and a second file whose rows name the first file's records, such as line items, can become the rows of a subform you have added to a module. ## Pricing Prices are in US dollars, before tax.
